Here is a nice example of a not very common Orange of London Amplifier. This amplifier has a great big sound and is lud as anything for a 50 watt amplifier. Very similar sound to the old Marshall amplifiers. This amplifier has had the going over by our ampl. technician, and was recomfirmed that the amp has been re-capped and re-tubed, with nothing but the best in terms of Sprague caps and JJ tubes. It is comnplete with original speakers, same code is present on both speakers, but the magnet cover is missing on one of the speakers. The serial number is 80039, model is OR80. There is a sticker on each of the transformers with the following information: Ref. 75021, 21-3858, second transformer: Ref.75019, 21-3856. There is an 8/16 Ohm switch on the back of the amp chassis, a main voltage selector with 115,200,220,240, 2 fuses, 1 being for a 1 amp fuse and the other being for a 5 amp fuse. Stamped on the speakers is the following: ME12V, T1217. On the back panel of the amplifier cabinet located on a metal plate which identifies the amplifier as "Orange of London" are the numbers OA2453, and I'm not quite sure what that code represents. Great sounding amplifier and one that is not seen around. This amp runs off 2 EL34's and 2 12AX7's. Happy Bidding.
